Heartbreaking Discovery: Missing Special Needs Boy's Lifeless Body Recovered After 5-Day Operation in Mamit

Mamit 23.08.2023 : In a tragic turn of events, the lifeless body of Lalremruata, an 11-year-old boy with special needs and the son of Lalvulmawii from H/s Veng Mamit, has been located today after an exhaustive search operation spanning five days. The discovery was made around 12 PM, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his untimely demise.  

The distressing incident began unfolding on the morning of August 18, 2023 (Friday) when Lalremruata was reported missing. This triggered a rapid and extensive search operation led by both local community members and official authorities. Despite their dedicated efforts, the young boy remained elusive until today when his lifeless body was finally located. 

The somber discovery occurred adjacent to the Old Mamit road, marking a heartbreaking end to the extensive search effort.  Adding to the poignancy of the situation is the fact that Lalremruata was a differently abled individual, making his disappearance an even greater cause for concern. The collective search operation, spearheaded by the Sub Headquarters of Young Mizo Association (YMA) Mamit, brought together the community's efforts in a bid to locate the missing boy and bring him back to safety.  As the investigation unfolds, authorities are expected to meticulously examine the circumstances surrounding Lalremruata's passing.
