Aizawl January 26, 2024: In a commendable effort to raise awareness about air pollution, Vanlallawmzuala Varte, also known as Lz Varte, commenced his mission "Ride to Clean Air" on Wednesday. The initiative involves cycling across all corners of India to promote awareness among citizens regarding air pollution. The flag-off ceremony was conducted in Aizawl, where Mizoram Pollution Control Board Chairman Liankima Lailung extended his support by inaugurating the event.
Under the banner of "Clean & Green Sustainable Lifestyle Under Mission Life," Pu Vanlallawmzuala Varte's initiative is sponsored by The Mizoram Pollution Control Board with additional support from MINECO. The mission is designed to encourage a clean and sustainable lifestyle, emphasizing the importance of environmental consciousness.
Vanlallawmzuala Varte has been actively engaged in creating awareness about the adverse effects of plastic pollution and deforestation. In May of the previous year, he embarked on a challenging journey from Lailapur, Assam, to Mizoram, covering the demanding terrain of Khaikhy. The journey aimed to address issues related to plastic waste and deforestation, showcasing Varte's dedication to environmental protection.
This initiative adds to Varte's ongoing efforts to promote environmental consciousness, reflecting his commitment to addressing critical issues such as plastic pollution and deforestation.
