Serchhip September 27, 2023: F. Lallianzami, a 5th-semester student majoring in Zoology at Government Serchhip College, Serchhip District, has been selected to represent Mizoram at the upcoming Elocution/Speech competition in the Indian Parliament. This prestigious event, organized by PRIDE (Lok Sabha), is scheduled for October 2nd and coincides with the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
The selection process for this high-profile competition was rigorous, involving participants from various districts. After district-level selections, the top contenders advanced to the state-level competition. F. Lallianzami emerged as the winner in the state-level competition, securing the first position. Notably, Sarah H Lalrohlui from Lunglei District claimed the second position, while B. Laldinpuii from Hnahthial District secured the third spot.
F. Lallianzami's outstanding performance at the state level has earned her the opportunity to represent Mizoram on a national platform. As the state-level National Youth Parliament champion, she will now represent India in the Elocution/Speech competition at the Indian Parliament on October 2, 2023. This achievement is a testament to her dedication and oratory skills, and it marks a momentous occasion for both Serchhip District and Mizoram as a whole.
