Lawngtlai 6 November 2023: election-related tragedy struck Mizoram as a Fourth Indian Reserve (4th IR) Constable, Z. Lalmuanzuala (36), lost his life when a polling party's vehicle met with a fatal accident in Lawngtlai District. According to reports from Lawngtlai, the polling parties from the Tuichawng Assembly Constituency had departed from their Dispatch Centre the previous day. The unfortunate incident occurred around 5:10 in the evening, near Udalthana-I, when the vehicle veered off the road, resulting in the untimely demise of Constable Z. Lalmuanzuala. Lawngtlai District's Election Officer confirmed that new polling parties were assigned to the Jarulsury Polling Station last night, ensuring the continuity of the electoral process despite this tragic event. Mizoram is going to the State Legislative Assembly Election on November 7th, Tomorrow.
