Aizawl July 11, 2023: A meeting was held today at the Central YMA office, Aizawl to discuss cooperation between Mizoram NGOs and Manipur Zo ethnic groups and the Manipur issue. The meeting was chaired by Mizoram NGO Coordination Committee Chairman, Central YMA President R Lalngheta, and was attended by various Manipur Zo ethnic civil society organizations and members of various Mizoram NGOs under the CORCOM.
The meeting resolved to work collectively on the Manipur issue and discussed ways for cooperation between the Mizoram NGO CORCOM and Manipur ethnic Zo CSOs. It was decided that a common working apparatus would be established, and decisions and steps would not be taken as individual CSOs. Consultation would also be made among various Manipur Zo Ethnic Group CSOs before discussing with the Mizoram NGO Coordination Committee.
