Itanagar, 16 May Four people, including a lady, were killed in landslides triggered by the constant rain, according to police. According to them, two persons were killed when their home was buried by a large landslide near Punjabi Dhaba. According to Capital Superintendent of Police (SP) Jimmy Chiram, a woman remains trapped inside the bamboo house with a tin roof that collapsed Sunday night owing to the landslide's impact. He said that while two remains have been recovered from the wreckage, the fate of the woman is unknown.
The Arunachal Pradesh fire and emergency services, as well as the Itanagar police and the SDRF, hurried to the tragedy site. Among the deceased includes a minor boy.
Nagen Barman, 50, and Tapas Rai, 15, have been identified as the deceased, while Kusum Rai, 35, is yet to be rescued, according to Itanagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Phassang Simi. Simi added that three people were hurt and sent to the hospital.

Two PWD labourers were carried away in landslides on the Ganga-Jully Basti Road while attempting to free a motorcycle caught in mud, according to Chiram. Officials reported landslides at numerous spots blocked surface communication between Likaballi in Lower Siang district and Aalo, the capital of West Siang district.
On the other side, landslides swept away at least two houses in Modirijo hamlet near the Shiv Mandir area along NH-415 between Itanagar and Naharlagun on Monday morning. However, no one has been injured as a result of the incident.
