Mizo Social Activist Vanramchhuangi Launches Sit-In Protest Against Environmental Violations In Mizoram

Vanramchhuangi ( Ruatfela Nu ) is a prominent Social Activist from Mizoram

Vanramchhuangi (Rautfela nu), a prominent Mizo social activist, and her associates staged a 'Silent Strike for Environment Justice in Mizoram' outside the EFCC Principal Chief Conservation of Forest office in Aizawl on Friday. The protesters have stated that they will continue the sit-in protest.

On the same day, Vanramchhuangi wrote to PCCF urging the suspension of work for the construction of Seling-Zokhawthar, Keifang-Manipur, Lunglei-Tlabung and Aizawl-Tuipang roads currently undertaken by the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) due to the damages it has caused to the local environment.
